In 2020, the Rector of Wrocław University of Technology appointed the Rector's Committee for Academic Awards and the Rector's Committee for Academic Affairs.

 The task of the Rector's Committee for Academic Awards is to draw up regulations for awards, scholarships and distinctions granted at Wrocław University of Technology and to examine candidatures, give opinions and formulate applications in competitions organised for academic staff at the University, as well as in other national initiatives.

The Committee is composed of the Chairpersons of the Councils of Academic Disciplines and the work of the Committee is headed by Prof. Zbigniew Gronostajski, D.Sc.

The Rector's Commission for Academic Affairs, in turn, is responsible for, among other things, giving its opinion on cases submitted by the Rector and candidates for awards from the minister responsible for higher education and science, as well as other awards in the area of teaching.

The Committee is composed of the Deans of the Faculties and the Dean of the Doctoral School, and its chairman is Prof. Waldemar Rebiznat, Ph.
